Tog & Pini began as so many small business do, with a baby.

In 2009 while I found myself home with Harry I also found myself wanting work that would be able to keep me at home while I was needed. I loved being a mum and I love the fact that motherhood also meant I had a chance to explore my creativity. I started sewing and sold my designs at a local market; as time went on I shifted into drawing and then painting, by 2014 Tog & Pini had begun to be what it is today, it is still evolving and will always be open to new ideas and new developments.

I work from my home (often on my dining table) with my family around me. I am a typically messy person who gets occasional pangs of guilt and does a complete house overhaul. You will always find my sewing on the table and my desk strewn with painting materials.

The name Tog & Pini represents a feeling; childhood, innocence, games, whimsicality and liveliness. I chose it for its catchy sound and its allusion to small children (wearing pinafores and tog's)

Most of my inspiration comes from my own children and pets and odd ideas that just pop into my head. I have always been surrounded by animals, especially rabbits, guinea-pigs, and dogs. I also enjoy collecting antiques, and curiosities, I find them very inspiring and love to imagine the stories that may have been in their past.
